Qin Yun is the main protagonist of Seeking the Flying Sword Path. He is the founder of the Misty Rain Sword Immortal Lineage and the strongest Sword Immortal as well as Itinerant Immortal in the history of the Three Realms. As for his status, Qin Yun is currently the Ancestral Master of the Misty Rain Sword Sect and the Sect Master of the Green Touring Palace.

Personality[]
Qin Yun began to train maniacally in the way of the sword when he was still very young. At the time he was impatient to take revenge for his sister that was killed by the Water God, hence his strong determination and hard work. After leaving his hometown and roaming the world for some years, Qin Yun discovered the darkness of the humans' heart. But the time he passed at the Northern Borders, always feeling the threat of death, made him understand the importance of friendship.
Later on, Qin Yun admitted that he had learned more in his six years of journey as a mortal than in his decades of cultivation. Following his return to Grand Dominance City, Qin Yun had indeed become much more mature compared to his younger self. However, his quick temper only disappeared completely after successfully taking revenge and marrying his wife, solely leaving his unbending hate of fiendish lifeforms. Qin Yun also became gradually wiser after his years of cultivation.
All in all, Qin Yun can be described as an emotional man who place great importance on his relationships, as well as a figure of the righteous path who abhors evil. Qin Yun indeed never spare any effort to kill those who committed crimes, whether humans or demons he always slaughtered outright the wicked people he met. Background[]
Qin Yun used to live beyond the city walls with his family. His younger sister was offered as tribute to the demon Water God when he was 6. That's why he trained so hard in sword play and cultivation like a maniac since the age of 8. His handwork coupled with his talent made him achieve one with sword and the ninth level of Qi Refinement at the age of 13. At 15 years old he became no.1 among the young generation of the City and left alone to travel around the world.
After 3 years of journey, Qin Yun went to the northern border and entered the army. With his monstrous talent Qin Yun could have easily joined a sect to open the gate of immortality, but he decided to rather stick to a Sword Immortal Legacy he had obtained beforehand and cultivate as an itinerant cultivator. His Legacy came from a Connate Golden Core stage elder named Daoist Chen from eight hundred years ago and it was one of the top cultivation legacies in the world, but also one of the hardest to learn.
Finally, after many life and death experiences during his 3 years of fighting at the northern border where demons roamed freely, Qin Yun developed his own Misty Rain Sword Intent and knocked open the gates of immortality at the age of 19 as an itinerant Sword Immortal. He then decided to comeback to his hometown that he had not seen for 6 years.
